Welcome and thanks for stopping by.
Fall, for me, has always been a time of reflection. This year isn't any different. I have had several significant transitions and changes across many areas of my life, as well as the illness and death of a couple really close friends which I am still navigating through. Alone, each one of these was enough to knock me off balance and suck me back in the drift of ineffectiveness and 'survival mode'. My reality could have been a devastating experience, as each one layered how different my life had become as a result of these situations. Had I not been practicing and integrating all that I have learned and taught the last 20 yrs., I wouldn't be writing to you with such gratitude and humility at this time. The work I do in the field of transformation is mirrored in my life. Allow me to repeat, not just my business, but MY LIFE! I would not have a life or at least not one worth living if it weren't for how I am better equipped to navigate through the natural flow of life and all the uncertainty that it brings. I continue to realize at a deeper level that I am only as effective as the openness and willingness to continue to learn, grow and evolve. Each situation shows me what my next work is, and believe me, there is lots to learn. I don't claim to have arrived, reached enlightened or to be sitting on a mountain top as of yet. What I do claim is: to have put myself in the 'moment by moment' roles of student, participant, teacher, mentor and coach on many occaisons. This is what makes me able to share what I have learned with others to empower them to become more effective people. I have had many years of coaches training with many hours in some of the most innovative and life changing disciplines available. I am always open to hearing what others are doing to experience effectiveness, fulfillment, joy and peace in their lives. With that in mind, I have been speculating with others on how effective they feel they have become with the changes and transitions they have moved through so far this year. What I am finding is that there always seems to be an area people feel stuck in, or unable to move through what is creating suffering in their lives. When asked what do you want or what would be available if you were able to move through that situation, they light up. In one way or another, most have said, "You mean it's okay to have dreams, goals and desires that are authentically mine"? What I have heard time and time again is that choices are not made from the place of "I matter" and "what is important to me matters". Most choices are made in an attempt to please others, avoid conflict, be safe, fit in, be accepted or loved, fix, control, manipulate and the list continues. If that is the case, then it would be safe to say that who we are is not authentic, effective or empowering. What experiences and results are not available to you when your current thoughts, words and actions are inauthentic, ineffective and disempowering? The highlighted opportunities on this newsletter will address the key issues that will make designing, reinventing or creating from a place of what is important and authentic to you possible. The end of the year will be here before you know it. Don't let 2010 sneak up on you without the experience of making 2009 all it could be as you push your next edge of evolution from who you are to who you could become. Please forward my website address to someone you might know that would benefit from some of my offers. Thank you, Denise Palmisano, CICP
