Too many times we stand aside and let the waters slip away, till what we put off till tomorrow has now become today. So don't you sit upon the shoreline and say you're satisfied. Choose to chance the rapids and dare to dance the tide.
It's the heart afraid of breaking that never learns to dance. It is the dream afraid of waking that never takes the chance. It is the one who won't be taken who cannot seem to give. And the soul afraid of dying that never learns to live. ~ Bette Midler Do either one of these sound familiar? Thought it might. I sure recognize myself in both of these quotes. Why does it always seem like there is never enough time, money, resources, energy, skills, talents, education, lucky breaks, miracles, answered prayers, etc. to help us get what we say we want? We know we want something different yet how, when, where and to what degree can we possibly integrate anything else with all that is already on our plate? It never seems like the right time or like you have what you need to get started. Why does it even make sense to dare to dance the tide? What we know is we can't trust ourselves to keep the promises we make to ourselves. What we have gotten good at is making deals with ourselves as we continue to explain, complain, blame, explain, justify, excuse and often deny all that we are giving our attention to instead of what we say we really want. Can you remember a time when you just went for it? When you took a risk that might have been out of the ordinary for you or when you just knew you couldn't make any other decision regardless of how crazy or misaligned it might have seemed? What did going after something that you really wanted feel like? What was the result? What was your experience after the fact? Did you come alive even though you might have been a little afraid or anxious? Were you stretched or challenged in a way that opened up other possibilities? That is what often happens. We only ever really experience the tip of our magnificence. Taking risks, pursuing dreams and goals and letting go of who we are for who we can become expands us in more ways than you can imagine. I am suggesting that our human nature is inviting us to become more of who we are meant to be. When we settle for the status quo, we miss the opportunity to really experience our wholeness and our potential. That deep, inner knowing that there is more for us is a constant nudge whether we ever do something about it or not. I invite you to not settle for a life of regret, frustration, resentment, blame, anger, and disappointment shrinking to what is as you give up on your goals, dreams and possibilities. Reclaim what you want in life and who you can become as part of your natural, mental, spiritual and emotional evolution. What if you didn't have to put anything on hold any longer. What if you could go after everything you ever wanted right now without anything else being in place? What if I told you you have all you need? Are you ready to step into living a life you love? IF NOT NOW, WHEN? I am your partner in possibilities! Contact me to take the next step in creating a life you love. denise@empoweringpotential.com or (985) 860-8861
