![]() How often do you take a break from he roles and responsibilities you participate in on a daily basis to check-in? What I mean by check-in is to be aware of the choices you are making and the results you are creating? When you focus your attention on situations to make them just go away, you are putting a band-aid on the situation and it is a temporary fix. In reality you are moving away from your desired results. Mindless, habitual and unconscious action shows up as distractions, resistance, self-sabotage and avoidance. It's not that you aren't working hard. However, working hard, more and faster still doesn't equate to effective or aligned with the direction you really want to go. When your objective is to move away from a situation, issue or challenge, your efforts and attempts are futile in making lasting change toward desired outcomes. It might be time to refocus, redirect, adjust and align with BOLD ACTION inside and out! Aligning with what you want instead of what you don't want is a game changer in any situation. It starts with a decision to take inventory of where you are experiencing stress, overwhelm, dis-ease, suffering or chaos. When you are willing to tell the truth and surrender what isn't working for what could work, a new reality is born. Once you are aware, your next step is ACTION! Nothing happens until something moves. Once you are in action, you are creating new habits and momentum to create the results you desire. If you were to take BOLD ACTION this week in a particular area of life, ask yourself two questions. What would I STOP doing that would represent a willingness for a new outcome to exist? What would I START doing that would represent a willingness for a new outcome to exist? Here are a few examples. Exchange negative thoughts for positive ones. Say NO. Take time for yourself. Create an intention for the day. Follow through with promises to yourself. Set boundaries and keep them. Ask for a raise. Apply for the promotion. Eat healthy. Acknowledge yourself for all that you do. Celebrate even the little things. Have fun. Laugh. Dream again. Set goals. Remove I can't from your speaking. Create a budget and stick to it. Initiate time with friends. Take a nap. Spend time alone. When you take time to step back and evaluate, you are on your way to eliminating blind spots and limitations. In other words, you have the potential to interrupt the habit of crisis management and putting band-aids on situations.
